Créée en 2012 en la mémoire de Rafael Fiorina, parti à l’âge de 14 ans, Rafael Lorraine rend possible les rêves de nombreux enfants grâce à l’implication et l’investissement de son équipe de bénévoles. Afin de leur apporter un soutien moral et l’énergie nécessaire pour lutter contre la maladie, l’association accompagne les enfants de la région à travers de nombreuses activités individuelles ou collectives (concerts, manifestations sportives, rencontres, voyages …). Grâce aux dons récoltés depuis sa création, Rafael Lorraine réalise donc les rêves des plus jeunes tout en équipant les hôpitaux de la région pour participer activement à la lutte contre la maladie. Concerné par l’initiative de l’association, le FC Metz organise depuis de nombreuses années des évènements visant à soutenir Rafael Lorraine. Ainsi, plusieurs enfants ont déjà escorté les Grenats sur la pelouse de Saint-Symphorien en avant-match, rencontré les joueurs à l’occasion d’une séance de dédicaces ou assisté à des rencontres officielles. 

Face au SM Caen, c’est avec fierté que le FC Metz verra Rafael Lorraine s’afficher sur le maillot des Grenats durant l’intégralité d’une rencontre de Ligue 2 BKT, et espère offrir une visibilité élargie aux valeurs portées par l’association mosellane.

Created in 2012 in memory of Rafael Fiorina, who died at the age of 14, Rafael Lorraine makes the dreams of many children possible thanks to the involvement and investment of its team of volunteers. In order to give them moral support and the energy they need to fight against the disease, the association accompanies the children of the region through numerous individual or collective activities (concerts, sports events, meetings, trips, etc.). Thanks to the donations collected since its creation, Rafael Lorraine makes the dreams of the youngest children come true while equipping the region's hospitals to actively participate in the fight against the disease. In support of the association, FC Metz has been organising various events to support Rafael Lorraine for many years. As such, several children have already escorted the Grenats on the Saint-Symphorien pitch before a match, met the players during a signing session or attended official matches. Against Stade Malherbe Caen, FC Metz will proudly display Rafael Lorraine on the Grenats' shirt for the entirety of a Ligue 2 BKT match, and hopes to offer greater visibility to the values promoted by the Moselle-based association.
