Pierre Rabine, the first disabled athlete in a professional football club in France, is a swimmer who was quadri-amputated following an accident at work. Thanks to his courage and resilience, Pierre will take part in the Para-swimming World Cup, only 5 years after his accident, and is in contention to participate in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The FC Nantes Foundation is supporting Pierre with a material donation and is providing a dietician and physiotherapists from FC Nantes to help him progress. The proceeds will enable Pierre to take part in the French swimming team’s training sessions from next year onwards.
Premier athlète handisport d’un club professionnel de football, en France, Pierre Rabine est un nageur, quadri-amputé à la suite d’un accident de travail. À force de courage et de résilience, Pierre participera à la Coupe du Monde de para-natation, seulement 5 ans après son accident, et est en lice pour participer aux Jeux Paralympiques de Paris 2024. La Fondation FC Nantes accompagne Pierre via une dotation matérielle et met à disposition diététicienne et kinés du FC Nantes pour l’aider dans sa progression. Les bénéfices de cette vente aux enchères permettront à Pierre de participer aux stages de l’équipe de France de natation, dès la saison prochaine.
