During his career, Großkreutz played a total of 176 games for Borussia Dortmund, scoring 23 times. With Borussia Dortmund he won the Bundesliga twice in 2010-11 and 2011-12 and lifted the DFB Bokal once in 2011-12. He made a total of six appearances for ''Die Mannschaft'' and was part of World Cup winning squad in 2014.
