Eén op de zeven vrouwen krijgt borstkanker, maar ook mannen kunnen te maken krijgen met de ziekte. N.E.C. staat in de maand oktober stil bij borstkanker. Het is het derde jaar op rij dat N.E.C. aan het begin van de herfst aandacht vraagt voor Pink Ribbon, een campagne die gestart is op initiatief van oud N.E.C.-doelman Jasper Cillessen. Onze huidige doelmannen Robin Roefs, Stijn van Gassel en Rijk Janse nemen het initiatief over en keepen de komende wedstrijden daarom in het roze. Een beperkte oplage van dat roze shirt is komende maand te koop in de N.E.C. Fanshop. Een deel van de opbrengst van die shirts gaat naar Pink Ribbon.
