Nathan Van Hooydonck is a 28-year-old Belgian cyclist. He survived a heart attack after a tragic car accident last year. In critical condition, he was taken to the UZA, where the medical team did its utmost to give him the best care. ‘The UZA has a special place in my heart,’ Nathan said. As a token of gratitude, Nathan is now committed to the UZA foundation's annual mountain bike race and has collected shirts from friends and former colleagues to raise money for UZA Foundation.

Nathan Van Hooydonck is een 28-jarige Belgische wielrenner. Hij overleefde vorig jaar een hartaanval na een tragisch auto-ongeluk. In kritieke toestand werd hij naar het UZA gebracht, waar het medische team er alles aan heeft gedaan om hem de beste zorg te bieden. “Het UZA heeft een speciale plek in mijn hart”, aldus Nathan. Als blijk van dankbaarheid zet Nathan zich nu in voor de jaarlijkse mountainbikewedstrijd van het UZA foundation en heeft hij shirts verzameld van vrienden en ex-collega’s om geld in te zamelen voor UZA Foundation.
