Alexandre Lacazette made a glorious return to Lyon to quickly become the club’s second highest goal scorer of all time. Club captain to his hometown club, Olympique Lyonnais is also where the player started his football career, aged 19. In a brilliant demonstration of his consistently strong finishes earlier this year, Lacazette scored four out of five goals to beat Montpellier (5-4) in a thrilling Ligue 1 match. Lacazette captained the French team to bring home silver at the 2024 Olympics.
