Turkije en Syrië zijn getroffen door meerdere zware aardbevingen en naschokken. De schade is enorm: gebouwen zijn ingestort, vele duizenden mensen zijn gewond en het dodental is inmiddels opgelopen tot meer dan 40.000 mensen. Veel mensen zitten, vanwege instortingsgevaar, onbeschermd in de ijzige kou. Er is dringend hulp nodig. De organisaties achter Giro555 slaan daarom de handen ineen en roepen heel Nederland op om in actie te komen voor de mensen in Turkije en Syrië. De club en spelersgroep van RKC steunen dit initiatief met speciale Carnaval shirts en hopen hiermee zoveel mogelijk geld op te kunnen halen voor het belangrijke werk van Giro555.

Turkey and Syria have been hit by several strong earthquakes and aftershocks. The damage is enormous: buildings have collapsed, many thousands of people have been injured and the death toll has now risen to more than 40,000 people. Many people are unprotected in the icy cold due to the risk of collapse. Urgent help is needed. The organisations behind Giro555 are therefore joining forces and calling on the whole of the Netherlands to take action for the people in Turkey and Syria. RKC Waalwijk and its players support this initiative with special Carnival shirts and hope to collect as much money as possible for the important work of Giro555.
