International Women’s Day 2025

March 8 is a day of unity, recognition, and inclusion. At MatchWornShirt, we’re celebrating International Women’s Day with a series of auctions that bring together teams from around the world to highlight the impact of women’s sport.

This year, we’re offering our largest-ever collection of match-worn & signed football shirts from more than 70 clubs and national teams, bringing fans closer than ever before to the women’s game.

Access to unique football memorabilia

This year’s International Women’s Day line-up features some of the most recognisable clubs in women’s football, including Real Madrid, AS Roma, AC Milan, Chelsea, and Olympique Lyonnais, alongside national teams like Germany, Scotland, and Norway.

The special auctions provide fans with the opportunity to own truly unique collector's items, one of the highlights being match-worn & signed Como Women shirts, marking the first time ever the club’s shirts – which have never been retailed – are available to supporters.

Among the group of top players included is Spanish World Cup hero Olga Carmona, who recently found the net in Real Madrid Femenino’s Liga F victory over Athletic Bilbao with a sensational chip from 40 yards. Her shirt from that match is up for grabs, along with that of her teammate and 2023 Ballon d'Or Féminin nominee Linda Caicedo, one of the most electrifying young talents in world football.

Speaking of the Ballon d’Or: Ada Hegerberg, the first woman to win football’s most prestigious individual award, has both Norway and Lyon shirts featured in auctions.

Special LFP initiative 

Beyond the women’s game, French football is also making a powerful statement this weekend. Between March 7 and 9, every Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 men's team – including PSG, Lille OSC, and Olympique de Marseille – will take to the pitch without player names on their shirts. Instead, the shirts will feature “WO=MAN”, symbolizing the ongoing push for gender equality and inclusion in football.
