This special edition Molde shirt was worn by Øystein Neerland during a Norwegian Cup final against Viking on October 22nd, 1989, at Ullevaal Stadium. Neerland, currently the managing director of Molde Fotballklubb, scored a crucial goal in the 71st minute of the match. This match-worn jersey, a special edition for the Cup Final in 1989, was picked up by Molde coach Åge Hareide from his wardrobe. The game ended in a 2-2 draw, leading to a replay in which Molde lost 2-1. Hareide, as the head coach of Molde, witnessed and guided his team through this memorable final.

Kamp mot KreftNORWEGIAN:
"Kamp mot kreft" er en veldedig organisasjon stiftet av Trond Hustad og Vera Henriksen. Min samboer Vera fikk en kreftdiagnose i juni i fjor og gikk gjennom en omfattende operasjon i august. I desember arrangerte vi en veldedig konsert i Molde som samlet inn en donasjon på 2 millioner kroner til det lokale sjukehuset som er under bygging i Molde. Nå arrangerer vi en fotballkamp til inntekt for mer nødvendig utstyr som sjukehuset ikke har rom for på budsjettet. Arrangementet er et samarbeid mellom vår veldedige organisasjon, lokalavisen Romsdals Budstikke som også er vår arbeidsgiver og Molde Fotballklubb.
16. juli møtes to lag med tidligere Molde-spillere på Aker stadion. MFK Champions består av spillere fra 1999, den eneste gangen klubben har vært i gruppespill i Champions League. Dette er laget som spilte mot Real Madrid, Porto og Olympiakos. De møter MFK Legends, som består av gamle helter fra ulike årganger fra 1980-tallet og fram til i dag. Kampen rammes inn av en TV-aksjon og alle inntekter fra publikum, sponsorer og lotteri går til kampen mot kreft. Auksjonen av Åge Hareides draktsamling er en del av denne innsamlingen.

"Kamp mot kreft" is a charity organization founded by Trond Hustad and Vera Henriksen. Trond’s girlfriend Vera was diagnosed with cancer in June last year and she went through surgery in August. In December they organized a charity concert in Molde that collected 200.000 Euro for the local hospital which was built in Molde. Now they are organizing a football match collecting money for more necessary equipment that the hospital can not afford on its budget. The event is a collaboration between our charity organisation, the local newspaper which also is Trond and Vera’s employer, and Molde Football Club.
On July 16th, two teams with former Molde-players will meet at Aker stadium. MFK Champions consisting of players from the 1999-season, the only time the club has reached the group stage in the Champions League. This team played against Real Madrid, Porto and Olympiakos. They are up against MFK Legends consisting of heroes from different squads from the 1980s up till the current day. The match will be shot by a TV-show and all revenues from spectators, sponsors and lotteries will go to the fight against cancer. The auction of Åge Hareides shirt collection is a crucial part of this fundraiser.
