The Hungarian National Ambulance Service’s non-profit Charity Trust was founded by National Ambulance Service employees in 2004. It is the only official charity of the National Ambulance Service and strives to help the employees of the entire National Ambulance Service nationwide. The Hungarian National Ambulance Service is an Effie award winner since 2013 and the Foundation strives to:

- Improve the quality of ambulances and equipment
- Improve the working conditions of  employees
- Improve the moral of employees
- Improve first aid training for laypersons
- Speed up reliable help to those in need by investing in first aid equipment and training
- Assist the over 7,000 employees of the NAS to help those in trouble and requiring assistance
