Legacy Numbers: Celebrating All of Tottenham Hotspur’s Past and Present Players
129 years: that’s how long it’s been since Tottenham Hotspur played their first game of senior competitive football. Now, two months into what has started out as Tottenham’s most successful Premier League season in recent memory, they have announced the Legacy Numbers initiative, created to honour all of the players who have represented the club throughout history.
The players from the present team have had their Legacy Number inscribed beneath the collar on the back of their shirts in small black font. As an official supplier of Tottenham, we applaud them for choosing such a distinctive way to highlight all of the individuals who have helped to forge their reputation as a powerhouse of English football.
